I offer therapy for people in unconventional relationships.

Connection is what life is all about.

When our important relationships aren’t working, everything suffers.

Yet, if you’re in a relationship that is unconventional in some way, it can be that much harder to reach out for help, for fear your relationships will be criticized, or you’ll be made to feel that you or your loved ones are the problem.

Therapy for Non-Monogamous Relationships

Triad relationship - therapy for non-monogamous relationships

Ethical non-monogamy is having a moment in the spotlight. Increasingly, people are exploring whether ENM or polyamory might be for them. Sometimes it starts with a curiosity about whether this way of approaching relationships would feel more authentic. Other times, people feel a pull to explore aspects of their sexuality or romantic feelings outside the monogamous relationship and want to approach the question in a way that is ethical and respectful to their much-loved monogamous partner. Very often, this exploration comes with messy and difficult feelings that require compassion and patience.

I don’t believe in force fitting anyone into monogamy or non-monogamy. I don’t believe that one or the other is more “evolved” or that there is any one right way to inhabit relationships.

I create space to explore what best fits your life and identity.

Gender Non-Conforming & LGBTQIA+

I provide relationship therapy for gay, lesbian, and bi-sexual clients. I also work with relationships where one or more people are gender non-conforming.

In particular, I’m experienced in working with couples where one person is considering a gender transition. If you are concerned about navigating this tricky emotional territory with a partner, contact me to find out how I can help.
